I practice in a wide range of legal areas, including representing crime victims experiencing serious injuries resulting from inadequate security and wrongful death, family law, criminal defense, business transactions and civil litigation.
Experience
In the legal profession, there is no substitute for experience. I was admitted to the Georgia State Bar Association in 1969 and entered my 41st year of legal practice in 2010. Before and after entering private practice, I was also fortunate enough to have served in other areas of the legal profession, including:
- Juvenile Parole and Probation Officer in the Stone Mountain District
- Law Clerk to Honorable Jeptha Tanskley, Judge Superior Court of Fulton County, Georgia
- Adjunct Faculty Member, Georgia State University
- Speechwriter for the Honorable Herman Talmadge, United States Senator, Georgia
During my career, I have appeared in 62 of the 159 counties in the state of Georgia and in more than 20 states. I have been admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Communication and Personal Service
I understand how intimidating it can be to go through the legal process when you are unfamiliar with the system. Many prospective clients distrust the system and are confused about what they need and what an attorney can do for them. When prospective and current clients come to my office, my job begins with making them feel comfortable about their decision to hire me as their legal representative.

The human element of the attorney-client relationship is often overlooked and I believe that my clients should feel comfortable talking to me so that I may best serve their interest.
